Growing up in Oregon, I was immersed in a natural palate of inspiration. I was led to glass art after my fascination with glass and a chance wander through Portland led me to a glass bead making class at Bullseye Glass Resource Center. That was the doorway into an ever evolving medium that continues to surprise and delight me. I began working with glass in the torch, continuing to learn new techniques in glass beadmaking. I strive to integrate these handmade glass beads with silver in contemporary jewelry designs. Silver foil, enamels and embellishments find focus in my beads and jewelry designs.

Beads led to a desire to create larger works. After continuing classes in fused glass, and taking an in depth kiln working course, fused glass became my focus. I’ve found a unique voice in fused glass, taking the silver foil and surface designs I love in beads into the glass. The techniques I forge combine glass, silver, into naturalistic reactions that are embedded in the works. My work continues to grow, into larger landscapes in architectural design and glass tile wall installations.
